The distinct aroma and qualities of Lavender--its healing power, both physical and spiritual--have been central to many cultures around the world for thousands of years, from the Biblical Holy Land through Medieval and Renaissance times in Europe. Over the years, this powerful herb has been used as a holy safeguard against evil by early Christians, for bathing, cooking and perfume by the ancient Romans, to anoint feet, to treat migraine headaches, to make laundry fragrant, to fill royal pillows, to ensure passion when placed under the beds of newlyweds, and to protect against a variety of diseases. More recently, scientific studies have provided empirical evidence for some of these claims--for example, by finding that inhaling lavender increases alpha wave activity in the brain, inducing relaxation.

For us, the scent of lavender evokes the breezes of Provence blowing off the Mediterranean and across the fields of herbs.  For our lotion and cream formula, we've created a blend of Lavender and a few floral and herbal scents, resulting in a scent that is calming, soothing and a pleasure to all of your senses, added to a rich and creamy goats milk, honey and shea butter base that is exceptional in texture.
