Exclusively from the Greenberry workshop, a custom-made foot butter designed to soften, enrich and provide healing nourishment for those dry, cracked, rough, calloused and sore feet. Great for rough patches anywhere, such as elbows, knees, and anyplace that needs special attention. Inspired by special requests, we've taken our Calendula Tamanu cream and added lots of extra special softening and healing agents to make a foot butter to die for! We've also added a pleasant Confederate Jasmine fragrance. If you would prefer it without added fragrance, just let us know.

What's in our Foot & Body Butter to make it special?

Calendula — also known as the marigold flower — has for centuries been used for skin care and medicinally for soothing inflammation, controlling bleeding and healing damaged tissue. Ideal for dry, dehydrated, irritated and delicate skin, Calendula’s healing properties have been used to provide relief for eczema, diaper rash, burns, acne, and other minor injuries and skin problems as well as fighting the signs of aging. Its essential oils and acids are reported to be antimicrobial and anti-oxidizing agents.

Tamanu Oil — People from many cultures claim that Tamanu Oil (Calophyllum tacamahaca, a tree from tropical SE Asia and Polynesia--also sometimes called Foraha Oil) has anti-neuralgic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antibiotic and antioxidant properties; the thick, dark oil is harvested and cold-pressed from the nut of an apple-like fruit. Pacific islanders use Tamanu oil to treat joint pains, arthritis, bruises, cuts, abrasions, burns, rashes, scars and as an analgesic for sciatica, rheumatism and ulcers. Tamanu oil reportedly promotes new tissue formation, accelerating healing and healthy skin growth, and contains powerful bactericide and fungicide agents that defeat human and animal pathogens.

Jojoba organic (Simmondsia chinensis)- very similar in composition to human natural skin oils, nourishes, softens and moisturizes mature and/or dry skin. Jojoba may help to heal inflamed skin conditions such as psoriasis or any form of dermatitis. It also has anti-oxidant properties. Our products contain 100% pure jojoba from Argentina, the extract of seeds produced by the jojoba plant which is expeller-pressed, then pasteurized and filtered to prevent bacterial growth. It’s gentle enough for newborn babies and may soothe and restore elasticity to any dry skin area or help with psoriasis.

Emu oil (Dromiceius novaehol-landiae)- We use pure Emu oil from Australia, where for centuries, the Australian aboriginal culture has been applying Emu oil to their wounds with excellent results. Today, it is being increasingly added worldwide to foods, muscle pain relievers, skin care products, and natural soaps since it is reported to have anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and skin regenerative qualities. It has been used to help heal bed sores, assist with scar and stretch mark prevention, provide sunburn relief, and help with arthritis pain and inflammation.

Shea butter (from the African Butyrospermum paradoxum a.k.a. Vitellaria paradoxa tree) is a moisturizer, emollient and anti-inflammatory agent. Shea butter is used to treat scars, eczema, burns, rashes, acne, severely dry skin, blemishes, dark spots, skin discolorations, chapped lips, stretch marks, and to soothe psoriasis. Shea butter absorbs rapidly into the skin without leaving a greasy feeling.

Mango Butter has natural emollient properties, high oxidative ability, wound healing, and regenerative activity. Mango Butter has been traditionally used in the rainforests and tropics for its skin softening, soothing, moisturizing and protective properties and to restore flexibility and reduce degeneration of skin cells. It has a protective effect against UV radiation. Dermatologists often recommend Mango Butter for treatment of wrinkles, as most people who use it will notice decreased signs of aging and the disappearance of lines and wrinkles within weeks with daily use.

Kokum Butter is rich in essential fatty acids, which aid in cell oxygenation and make nutrients more readily available for use by skin tissues. Kokum Butter also contains antioxidant vitamin E. Kokum Butter is a non pore-clogging material that aids quick absorption. Kokum Butter helps regenerate tired and worn skin cells and supports skin elasticity and general flexibility of the skin wall. It has been used traditionally in India to soften skin and restore elasticity and as a balm for dry, cracked, rough and calloused skin.

Rosehip Oil (Rosa Mosqueta) is extracted from the seeds of a South American wild rose bush. Highly rich in fatty acids (linoleic and linolenic), which aid in the regeneration of skin cells and the repair of damaged tissues, Rose Hip Oil has been used to reduce wrinkles and retard the signs of premature ageing; to treat burns, scars, and damaged skin; and to reduce the thickness and redness of scars and stretchmarks.

Goat’s milk is very high in vitamins, minerals and proteins as well as high in lactic acid which helps exfoliate dead skin cells and soften your skin. The low pH level of goat's milk is close to our skin’s own pH, making it a very gentle cleanser. Goat's milk also contains alpha-hydroxy acids, known for their restorative and rejuvenating qualities.
