Greenberry's soaps (except for the Calendula Tamanu &
Repair soaps, which contain goats milk in addition to the glycerin & shea butter base) are made from all-vegetable and
mineral soap base ingredients with essential oils and botanical ingredients added to each bar.
Our soap bases are hypo-allergenic and contain no offensive chemical odors.
The African shea butter and glycerin base (in all our soaps
except the Tibetan Herbal Aspic, which is made from a clear olive oil-glycerin base,
and the Calendula Tamanu & Repair soaps, with a goats milk, shea butter & glycerin base) protects skin against weather
& the effects of aging.
Our shea butter and vegetable glycerin base meets vegan
guidelines.
The soap bases for most of
our soaps are glycerin-based with African shea butter and include the following ingredients:
Glycerin
(of vegetable origin)
Sorbitol (from berries: a moisturizer)
Butyrospermum
parkii (shea butter: from the Bassia Parkii tree in Africa; adds moisturizing properties)
Silk
Amino Acids
Organic salts, including:
Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate
(from coconut oil)
Sodium Laureth Sulfate (lathering agent)
Sodium Stearate (breaks down oils)
Sodium Myristate (a salt)
Propylene Glycol (an organic alcohol)
Triethanolamine (organic PH balancer)
Titanium Dioxide (mineral whitener used in opaque soaps)
Water
Our Calendula Tamanu and Repair! soaps also contain Goat's Milk and therefore are not
vegan.
OUR CREAMS AND LOTIONS
Our Refresh! lotions and Replenish! creams all share a common goats milk, honey and shea butter base, though each is scented with different
essential oils, fragrance oils and/or botanical oils or extracts. Although we try to stay with ingredients as organic and
natural as possible, our lotions and creams do contain a very few synthetic compounds. Ingredients in our lotion and cream
base include, in addition to fragrance oils and botanical additives:
Water
Glyceryl stearate (emulsifying compound of glycerin, derived from
the vegetable oil of palm, rape or sunflower plants, and naturally-occurring stearic acid)
Isopropyl
Myristate (promotes skin absorption; derived from vegetable fatty acid
from coconut oil)
Caprylic/Capric Glyceride (botanical
lipids)
Stearic Acid (saturated fatty acid)
Stearyl Alcohol
(ester of saturated fatty acid)
Cetearyl Alcohol (emollient; mixture of naturally-derived
cetyl and stearic alcohols)
Ceteareth-20 (a synthetic emulsifier/surfactant
prepared from cetyl-stearyl alcohol and ethylene oxide)
Soybean Oil
Shea Butter [Butyrospermum parkii: from the Bassia Parkii tree in Africa; adds moisturizing
properties]
Dimethicone (silicon-based organic polymer used as lubricant)
Sunflower Oil
Aloe Barbadensis
Goats Milk Extract
Hydroxypropyl Trimonium (derived from guar beans)
Honey
Benzophenone-4 (a light absorber or sunscreen)
Methylparaben, Propylparaben (although
parabens are found naturally in plants, all commercial parabens aused as preservatives are synthetically produced)
DMDM Hydantoin (preservative)
Triethanolamine (a pH balancer)
Disodium EDTA (synthetic amino acid)
Our Refresh Plus! Calendula Tamanu cream and
lotion contain additional emollients and botanicals including Calendula extract, Tamanu oil, Jojoba oil, Emu oil, and Vitamin
E oil.
OUR BATH AND MASSAGE OILS

Bath and Massage Oils are a combination of the following organic oils
Canola Oil
Sunflower Oil
Safflower Oil
Grapeseed Oil
Sweet Almond Oil

and essential oils for fragrance.
